Marianne Lie

Marianne Lie (b. 1962) has broad international management and board experience, particularly from the maritime and energy sectors.

In the maritime sector, she has held roles such as the Chief Executive Officer of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, Executive Vice Chairman of Nordic American Offshore Ltd., Advisor to Chairman at Nordic American Tankers Limited, Director of Department of Information and Industrial Policy of Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, and served in the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association from 1988 to 1998.

In the energy sector, Marianne Lie has served as Managing Director of Vattenfall Norge AS and Board Member of Fortum oy.

She has served as a Board Member of several Norwegian companies, mainly within shipping, offshore business, energy and finance industries, including Arendals Fossekompani ASA, RS Platou ASA, Rainpower ASA and Cecon ASA, in addition to holding several political elected offices. For 4 years she was a Member of Supervisory Council of the Central Bank of Norway.

Marianne Lie has studied Law and Political Science at University of Oslo.
